This notice covers contact through the Daisy & Iris website, telephone and the WhatsApp link. It does not replace the separate privacy information we give to people receiving care or applying for work.
Daisy & Iris Homecare Ltd (company number 13239318) is the data controller. Our registered office is 70 Byrne Drive, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6SA. Contact us on 01702 593310, by post at that address, or through the secure enquiry form when online sending is available. Our ICO registration is ZC095179.
If you contact us, we use the name, contact details and message you provide to reply, discuss the support you requested and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. You provide this information directly to us. Please do not include detailed medical information in a general website enquiry or WhatsApp message; we can arrange a more suitable way to discuss care needs.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a care arrangement, we may use the information necessary to respond to that request before entering into a contract. For general questions, feedback and routine correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us and running our service. We do not use website enquiries for marketing without a separate appropriate basis.
Your browser may also send technical information such as an IP address and device details to the web host to deliver the site and protect it from misuse. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a usable, secure website for this processing. The website uses Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google; see Google's explanation of font requests.
People at Daisy & Iris who need to handle your enquiry can access it. Our hosting, messaging and security providers may process information for us. When enabled, website enquiries are handled by Carsan and sent through the hosting server’s email service and MailChannels relay to Daisy & Iris’s Google Workspace mailbox. The service records the enquiry and a request reference, applies abuse checks and restricts access to authorised people. A request reference confirms receipt by the service; it does not guarantee delivery to a mailbox. If you choose the WhatsApp link, the chat opens in WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy. We do not send your enquiry to WhatsApp merely because you view this website.
When online sending is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile will check browser and device signals to help distinguish people from automated abuse. A verification token is checked by Carsan before an enquiry is accepted. Carsan does not retain that token in the enquiry record. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Cloudflare provides website security and DNS.
Some technology providers may handle data outside the UK. We will check the applicable transfer arrangements before enabling further integrations. We may disclose information if legally required or to protect someone from serious harm.
We keep enquiries only for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up, then review whether a record is still needed for care, legal or complaint purposes. Where an enquiry leads to care or employment, the relevant separate retention information applies. The enquiry service is configured with a 180-day retention period; expiry alone does not confirm deletion, and mailbox and backup retention also apply. You can ask us about the period for a particular record.
You can ask to see or correct your personal information and, where applicable, ask for erasure, restriction or a copy in a portable format. You can also raise a concern about how we handle it by calling or writing to us using the details above. Rights depend on the circumstances and lawful basis.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Tell us by phone or post and we will consider your request.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we use your information. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
